Dabkowski and Slomkowski assist with Parkville Adaptive Lacrosse
Kudos to Hannah Slomkowski and Kaitlyn Dabkowski for their contributions to a team with Parkville Adaptive Lacrosse coached by Marty Delaney. Coach Delaney writes:
Parkville Adaptive Lacrosse is a program that offers special needs children and young adults the opportunity to participate and learn in an environment sensitive to the participant’s challenges. Last Thursday we played in the Shootout for Soldiers event in Baltimore and Kaitlyn and Hannah came out and offered their support and time. It was abundantly obvious their empathy, and compassion for athletes who face numerous physical and cognitive challenges in life. They were patient, caring and encouraging. Kaitlyn and Hannah’s contributions to our experience are a wonderful and positive reflection on their family, your team, TLC, you and your coaching staff.
I’ve long appreciated this quote from John Wooden, “You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.” By that measure I think that Hannah and Kaitlyn had a perfect day on June 18th.
