TLC Lacrosse endeavors to teach and reinforce excellence in the execution of fundamentals in all of our players while integrating more sophisticated concepts and techniques in our older girls. All TLC players are provided opportunities to compete against the top competition in the game today at tournaments and events throughout the year.

Tom Angel

Tom Angel was a multi letter winner in Baseball and soccer at Severna Park high school where he captained the 1983 state champion soccer team, later going on the university of MD to play soccer.  Tom has actively been involved in coaching Soccer, lacrosse and basketball  in the Towson area for the last 10 years and has been involved with the TLC program since its inception with his daughter playing on the 2012 team.

Lisa Dixon

Lisa Dixon was a former assistant coach at the University of North Carolina.  She is currently living in Baltimore, and is the Special Assistant to the President and Special Events Manager for the Baltimore Ravens.  Before accepting the position at UNC, Dixon was an assistant coach at Penn State University.  Dixon graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1997.  As a lacrosse goalkeeper, Dixon helped William & Mary earn three NCAA Tournament appearances.  In the Colonial Athletic Association conference, she received first team honors, and was recognized as a CAA Scholar Athlete in 1996 and 1997.  In Dixon's senior year, she received First Team USWLA and IWLCA/BRINE All-American honors.  In June 1997, she was awarded the C. Markland Kelly award; otherwise known as the  "Goalie of the Year" award for Division I.

Mike Farrell, TLC founder, Director and Board Member, has a hand in coaching all the TLC teams and players from our youngest, newest players to our graduating, recruitable class.  Mike was a defenseman at Calvert Hall High School where he was a member of the MSA Championship teams of 1971 and 1972, earning high school All-American honors in 1972.  At the University of Maryland, Mike played in the NCAA Lacrosse Championships in all four years of his collegiate career, winning the championship in 1973 and 1975.  He earned First-Team All-American honors in 1974 and 1975.  He was a member of the ACC championship teams of 1973 and 1976.  Mike received the William C. Schmeisser Award as the nation’s best defenseman in 1976 and Maryland’s Edwin E. Powell Award for great service to the game of lacrosse in 1976.  He was also captain for the south team in the 1976 North/South Collegiate All-Star game.  Mike played for the Maryland Lacrosse Club for 1979-82, winning the club championship in 1979 and 1982.  He has continued his contribution to the sport of lacrosse as a coach at the recreational level.

Four year lacrosse player for the University of Virginia Kathleen Gavin assists in coaching the 2012 team.  In 1983 Kathleen earned the MVP award at UVA.  Kathleen graduated from St. Paul’s School for Girls (SPSG) in 1979 where she played varsity lacrosse, hockey, and basketball.  She now works as an attorney and pursues volunteer activities such as past board member at SPSG, coach for Towsontowne Rec, and class parent.  She enjoys running 10ks, crew, and tennis when time allows.

Megan Hanson has been actively involved with the TLC program since its inception in 2004.  She coached the 2013 and 2010 Red teams and currently coaches the 2019 Red team. Megan also currently coaches Bryn Mawr School Middle School Lacrosse and Field Hockey teams.  She previously coached the NBC Too 2009 team from 2003 to 2006, leading them to 5 championships.  Megan coached in the LTRC Lacrosse Program from 1998 to 2006, and led her A teams to MYLA ‘A’ Championships in 2004, 2005, and 2006.  In addition to her extensive lacrosse coaching experience, Megan coached Field Hockey in the Towsontowne program, leading her teams to Harvest Hockey ‘A’ Championships in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005.

Megan started her athletic career at the Severn School, playing Varsity Lacrosse from 1974 to 1980 and Varsity Field Hockey from 1977 to 1979.  She received the C. Markland Kelly Award in 1980 and was honored in 2001 as an inductee to the Severn School Athletic Hall of Fame.  At Hollins College, Megan played Varsity Lacrosse from 1981 to 1983 and Varsity Field Hockey from 1980 to 1982.

Maura Kadan

Maura Kadan assists Kelly in coaching the 2014 team.  Maura played lacrosse for at Mercy High School, where she was chosen as an all-star.  She went on to play at Roanoke College and majored in Health and Physical Education.  She was selected as a 2nd team All-American in her senior year.  During her college career, the team went to the NCAA tournament twice.  After graduation, she spent a year as assistant coach at Colgate University.  She returned to her alma Mater and coached at Mercy High School for 3 years.  In recent years, she has played for  club teams in Baltimore and currently works as a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Lisa LeBeau Lombardi

Head coach Lisa LeBeau leads the 2011 team.  Lisa  began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Mount St. Mary’s University in the fall of 2000 immediately following a successful athletic career at Salisbury University.  Lisa was a member of the NCAA Tournament Team, Honorable Mention All-American, Mid Atlantic Regional All-American, 1st Team Capita Athletic Conference, and is a record holder at Salisbury for highest save percentage, shutouts, and career least goals against average.  She was also a member of the nationally ranked women’s soccer team at Salisbury.  After finishing at the Mount in 2003, Lisa continued to coach at Towsontowne Recreational Council for four years, winning the MYLA Championship in her first year.  She was one of three coaches to take the Towsontowne team to the Friendship Games in Japan in f2005.  Lisa currently coaches goalie camps and clinics across the country and also volunteers as a goalie coach at UMBC.

Karl Lehmann assists Mike in coaching the 2015 White team.  McDonogh School 1984 graduate and three sport student athlete,  Karl played Football, Wrestled and played Lacrosse, captaining his Football and Lacrosse teams in his senior year.  Lehmann graduated from Cornell University and was part of the 1987 and 1988 National runner-up teams his junior and senior seasons, earning the Joe Philip Memorial Award for his contributions the overall team effort in his senior season.  Karl has been coaching McDonogh School’s girl’s lacrosse rec teams since 2002.

Butch Marino

Butch Marino played high school lacrosse at West Genesee Senior High in Camillus, NY.  At the University of Delaware, he was a First-Team All East Coast Conference in 1986 and 1987, named to the North / South Senior All Star team in 1987 and a two time All-American.   Butch played with the Mount Washington Lacrosse club from 1988-1999 where he was a 6x All USCLA Club All Star in 88, 89, 90, 91, 93 and 94.  Led Mount Washington to five USCLA National Championships in 90, 91, 93, 95 and 96 and was the USCLA National Championship MVP in 93.  In addition, Butch played nine years in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League for the Baltimore Thunder and Pittsburg Bulls and was selected to the All Pro Team in 1991, All Star Game in 1991 and Pittsburg Bulls MVP for 1991.  He was selected to the men’s United States World Team in 1994, where he led team USA to a world championship.  Butch was inducted with the class of 2011 into the Baltimore Chapter lacrosse hall of fame.  He has continued his contribution to the sport of lacrosse as a coach at the recreation level.

Sam Matz

 While at Johns Hopkins University, Sam Matz, MD,  was a football running back.  During his high school career at Milford Mill, Sam was tri-captain of the football, wrestling, and lacrosse teams.  Sam also played for the Liberty/Heros lacrosse club.  Since 1987 he has served as team physician for McDaniel College and Mt. St. Mary’s University.  Sam is a founder and board member of TLC Lacrosse and serves on the boards of Carroll Hospital and Towsontowne

Alex Reillyattended Towson High School where she was a four-year starter in lacrosse and field hockey. During those years Alex earned the Scholar Athlete Award, All-Academic Team, 1st Team All-Division, All-County Team, Sportsmanship Award, and Baltimore County All-star team. In her senior year, Alex was captain of the field hockey team. She played club lacrosse as well in high school and committed to Old Dominion University to play lacrosse where sheI earned the Commissioner's Academic Award in-season. Alex has also been coaching a varsity field hockey indoor team for the past 3 years.

John Meier

John Meier played lacrosse and football at John Carroll High School in Bel Air, MD  from 1979 to 1981 winning the MSA B lacrosse championship in 1980 and runner up in 1981.  John attended McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College) and played both football and lacrosse until he transferred to the University of Maryland. After graduation, John moved to Dallas and played for the Dallas Lacrosse Club, winning the Texas club championship in 1991.  John has spent  7 years coaching and acting as an age level commissioner for Carroll Manor girls lacrosse. Additionally, he has organized teams to play in post season tournaments while raising money for a charitable cause.  One team, "Kasey's Laxers", won the Lax Clash tournament at the Lightening A level while raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the name of Kasey Seymour.  John has completed the following certifications by US Lacrosse: Level 2 Womens Coach certifed; PCA (Positive Coaching Alliance).

Andi O'Connor

Andi LeMire O’Connor is a Co-Coach for the TLC 2013 Red team.  Andi currently runs the LTRC Girl's Youth Lacrosse Program and has been a volunteer coach for almost 20 years.  Her LTRC girl's lacrosse team finished the 2009 season with  a MYLA Championship.  She coached at the High School level for St. Paul’s School for Girls in 1997.

Andi Currently is working for US Lacrosse Coaches Education Program as a Level 1 Trainer.  She is also a certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor at the Maryland Athletic Club and Wellness Center.

Andi was inducted into the Greater Baltimore Chapter of US Lacrosse's Hall of Fame in 2001.  She played on the US Women's Lacrosse Team, the 1981 AIAW National Championship Lacrosse team, the North team in the 1984 North South All-Star Game, and currently plays women's club.  Andi graduated from the University of Maryland in 1984 where she was a 1st team All-Aamerican field hockey player and a 4 year varsity lacrosse player. She was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team in 1984. She graduated from Towson High in 1980 where she played field hockey, basketball and lacrosse.

Michelle Railey

Michelle Railey coaches the 2017 Red team.  She played varsity lacrosse at Notre Dame Prep. She served as captain her senior year, earning All-Star and USWLA All-American honors. In 2005 Michelle was inducted into the Notre Dame Prep Athletic Hall of Fame. At Loyola College Michelle served as captain her senior year leading the Lady Greyhounds to the NCAA Womens' Lacrosse Championship Final Four, was selected to play in the 1990 North/South Collegiate All-Star game and was the 1990 recipient of the Ernest Lagna Award for Loyola’s Most Outstanding Woman Student-Athlete. Michelle coached middle school lacrosse at Notre Dame Prep and has been involved with the Lutherville Timonium Recreation Council (LTRC) lacrosse program as a coach and age group coordinator since 2004. Additionally, Michelle has served as a Board member at Notre Dame Prep and The Marian House.

Mary Beth Regan

Mary Beth Regan assists Laurie in coaching the 2012 Red team.  Mary Beth, aka "Coach Somerville," has coached youth lacrosse for the Cockeysville Recreation Council for 10 years, coaching from the Tyker to Junior levels.  She played lacrosse at Notre Dame Prep as a defensive wing in the 1980s when wooden sticks and "natural boundaries" ruled the day.  Professionally, she is a journalist who has written widely about health and fitness issues.  In 2005, she authored an article entitled "Sticking With It" for the Baltimore Sun about the rise in adult-level lacrosse play nationwide.  A long-time USLacrosse member, she has completed several Positive Coaching Alliance programs.  Mary Beth is married to Sean Somerville, who coaches football and wrestling locally.  They have four children - all of whom play lacrosse.

Blake Sheehan is an Associate Portfolio Manager and Principal at Brown Advisory and a co-founder of CRC Lacrosse.  At Brown Advisory, she works with families and institutions on asset allocation and strategic planning.  She also supervises a multi-office summer analyst program with interns in seven offices across the U.S. and Europe. Prior to starting CRC, Blake coached for TLC Lacrosse for 12 years.  She was a three-time Big East Academic All Star and three-time NCAA Tournament participant during her lacrosse career at Georgetown where she majored in finance and international business.  Outside of work, Blake has been recognized as a Living Classrooms Rising Star and also participated in the Business Volunteers of Maryland GIVE program for rising civic leaders.  She remains active in the community as an alumni interviewer at Georgetown, a mentor at the Crossroads Middle School, a Gala Executive Committee member at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital, and a founding board member of Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership in Baltimore.

Brooke Shriver

Brooke Matthews Shriver was an Assistant Lacrosse Coach with Penn State University’s women’s team from 2012-2017, where she served as the offensive coordinator, scouted and analyzed game film, and recruited top high school prospects.  Brooke played an integral role in leading the Lions to the Big Ten Tournament title in 2016 and to NCAA Final Four appearances in 2016 and 2017.

Prior to coming to Penn State, Brooke served as an assistant coach at Mount St. Mary's from 2011-2012 where she helped The Mount win eight games and reach the Northeast Conference championship game.

 A four-year starting midfielder for Northwestern (2008-11), Brooke was a part of 85 wins, three national championships (2008-09, 2011), and four American Lacrosse Conference titles. She finished her career with 106 points (88 goals, 18 assists), including a career-high 32 (25 goals, 7 assists) in her senior season, 74 ground balls, 34 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers.

Kelly Swift, is the head coach of the 2014 team.  Her high school years were spent playing in her freshman and sophomore years at Mercy and she was the captain during her junior and senior years at Hereford High School where she was a member of the All Stars during her senior year.  Kelly attended University of Delaware from 1996-2000 where she was named the Most Improved Player during her Freshman year and Captain in her senior year.  Her team won the conference championship from 1997-1999 and made the 2000 NCAA Tournament.  Kelly was the co-founder and a player on her post-collegiate club team, Coburn’s.

Steph Taylor

Steph Taylor was a two sport athlete at Cocalico High School in Lancaster County, PA. She played basketball and lacrosse and was captain her senior year in both sports and her junior year for lacrosse.  She helped lead her lacrosse team to two consecutive section two titles, as well as going undefeated with a record of 18-0 in her senior season and capturing the LL-League Title. Additionally, Taylor was awarded with All American honors and league MVP her junior and senior years at Cocalico.

 She went on to play lacrosse for the Tigers at Towson University for the 2007-2010 seasons. While at Towson she played three and a half years as a midfielder, and finished up her career as a low defender. She was a captain for the Tigers her senior year in 2010, and helped lead the tigers to three CAA tournament appearances. The 2008 and 2009 seasons were especially memorable, as Taylor and the Tigers captured the CAA title two years in a row. In 2009 Taylor was named to the CAA All Tournament Team.  She was named to the CAA Commissioner’s list from 2007-2009, and was also named to the IWLCA Academic squad in 2009. Her most memorable experience was playing her final collegiate game at UVA in 2010.

 Taylor graduated from Towson University in 2011 with a degree in Special Education and is currently teaching at Golden Ring Middle School in the Baltimore County Public Schools system. She has coached two other Lancaster based club teams (Lancaster Area Xtreme and Lanco Elite) over the past five years, as well as being the head JV coach for Hereford High School in 2011. In her spare time Steph likes to travel, watch movies, take pictures and go running.

John Webster is the father of three daughters Isabelle (TLC 2017 White), Susannah, and Ridgely. He and his wife, Nicole, have been coaching girls’ lacrosse for Maryland Lacrosse Club since 2007. John was an attackman at Boys’ Latin School where he was a member of the MSA Championship Team in 1988, earning high school All-American and MSA First Team All-Metro honors his senior year. He was awarded the C. Markland Kelly, Jr. Award, which recognizes the top high-school player in Maryland after his senior season. As a member of the lacrosse team at UNC from 1990-1993, the Tarheels won four consecutive ACC Championships and played in four consecutive NCAA Final Fours. The 1991 team won the NCAA Championship after an undefeated season. John was an All-ACC and All-American following his junior and senior seasons. He currently ranks in the Top 5 among UNC Statistical Leaders for Career Points (5th), Goals (4th) and Assists (5th).
